Posted November 17, 2009
October 20, 2009 - a Wednesday, was a date to remember for all MSTC trainees and (LMPs) Lay Mission Partners alike. It was the day theBlessed Virgin Mary (BVM) came to visit the (MSTC) Manpower Skills Training Center. The BVM was fetched by the MSTC LMPs and Sodality Officers from the school’s Accounting Office. She was accompanied towards the MSTC department by (LMPs) Lay Mission Partners from the other sectors of the Educative Pastoral Community (EPC) of Don Bosco Technical Institute - Makati and greeted by trainees lined up along the "Baywalk”, with some of them waving their banners.
Mr. Jim Romero, MSTC Asst. Technical Director for Technical Affairs, acting on behalf of the MSTC Technical Director, FR. EDWIN L. ULANDAY, SDB received the BVM and enthroned her at the altar at the center of the Caravario Court. Some trainees offered her flowers. The prayer of welcome was recited by all those present and the recitation of the rosary followed. The MSTC Choir led by its animators, Mr. Neil Apollo Dichoso and Mr. Carlo Pagaragan, serenaded the BVM with their beautiful music. Food was served afterwards, with the LMPs being assisted by Ms. Ahleeze Bautista.

The evening class trainees also gave their respects to Mama Mary and had their rosary prayers during their assembly. They were assisted by Mr. Anthony Talampas, the MSTC Campus Minister and Ms. Judith May Sister, the MSTC CL Teacher.
A special praying of the rosary was held the next day, October 21, 2009. A “living rosary” was done, with each mystery represented by the respective sodality Animators and sodality officers/members. Everyone thanked the Blessed Mother for her visit to the MSTC and promised to commit themselves and their families to her devotion. She was then led by Mr. Jim Romero, together with the other EPC members passing by trainees lined-up along her path to bid her goodbye to visit another venue – the ALUMNI office.
