“BOSCONIANS: CALLED TO TRUE HAPPINESS WITH MARY ASSUMED TO HEAVEN!” was the theme chosen for this year’s EPC Mass celebrating the solemnity of the  Assumption of Mary  last August 15, 2009, Saturday.  It was presided by Fr. Jose Lorbeth Vivo, SDB together with the other Salesian priests namely: Fr. Anthony Paul Bicomong, SDB (Rector), Fr. Junji Zarate, SDB (Vice-Rector/Administrator), Fr. Renato De Guzman, SDB (Institutional Catechist), and Fr. Edwin Ulanday, SDB (Technical Director).

It was a simple celebration made grand by the offering of flowers from all Departments and the animation of some songs by the MSTC trainees.  The atmosphere was made more festive by the singing of Marian songs led by the Choir from the NTOP Department. The proclamation of the Word was done at the center of the assembly on the lectern beautifully decorated with gorgeous roses positioned at the center of the Magone Dome.

Fr. Vivo made us all smile and laugh with his wonderful and inspiring stories that surely moved our hearts and thoughts and challenged us to be truly happy in our hearts, in our spirits, and in our actions with Mary assumed into heaven as our inspiration.

The celebration had been a success through the collective efforts of all the Departments of Don Bosco-Makati, from the Elementary, High School, MSTC, and the NTOP Departments.

So, to all the people who participated and gave their time and effort for this celebration, we salute you and give you thanks!

And, for all of us Bosconians, let us always remember that being truly happy is to be whole and holy. All of us are being called by our Lord Jesus Christ through our father and teacher, Don Bosco and our mother, Mary, to be just like that.
