Bosconians at Work Displaying Amazing Talents at the Robotics Workshop
Posted December 3, 2009
Logicians have but befittingly defined, As rational the human mind, Logic they say, belongs to man, But let them prove it if they can.
This was the challenge that logicians, the class of Computer Technology 3 and 4 faced last Saturday, November 14, 2009 in their seminar- workshop about Robotics. These Bosconians witnessed who the best Robot builder was during the event of the Sumo-bot Contest last Saturday, November 21, 2009..jpg)
The seminar - workshop was facilitated by Mr. Robert D. Orola assisted by Mr. Francis A. Loresto and Ms. Rochelle N. Eslana from Genetic Computer Institute in cooperation with the Pinoy Robot Games Foundation.
On the day of November 21, 20 teams competed for the best Sumo-bot Robot. In the end, “Eating Monster Team“ and “Batibots Team” remained to face the robot “Anonymous” which was constructed by the facilitators themselves.
After the interesting and a truly gratifying workshop, Robotics is now gaining ground at DBTI-Makati. The Robotics activity made us realize that “winning is by inspiration not domination, with the team’s cooperation and not the enemy’s intimidation”.
