As the start of the School Year 2009-2010 unfolded, a General Assembly of the Lay Mission Partners of Don Bosco Makati was held last May 28, 2009.  The assembly started with a paraliturgy led by Fr. Renato de Guzman, SDB, the Institutional Pastoral Animator of Don Bosco Technical Institute – Makati City.

During the Welcome Remarks of Fr. Anthony Paul Bicomong, SDB, our Rector, the new members of the House Council were introduced.  He highlighted the past school year’s achievements and gave updates on the endeavours the school will be undertaking for the coming school year.

After the Welcome Remarks, the school’s Administrator, Fr. Rufo A. Zarate Jr., SDB, gave an overview of the Manual of Administrative Policies and Procedures.  The rationale, objectives, scope, and timetable of the Administrative Manual were comprehensively discussed.

What followed shortly was the introduction of Biometrics, the school’s new timekeeping system.  This is a joint project of the Human Resource Office and the Information Technology Center which aims to improve and update the school’s existing timekeeping system. It is targeted to be officially utilized by July, 2009.

To prepare the LMPs for the school year, the Strenna 2009 was presented to provide a unifying direction for the LMPs.  The Strenna 2009 (Let us commit ourselves to making the Salesian Family a vast movement of persons for the salvation of the young.) was given by no other than the Chairman of Commission of Social Communications, Fr.             The afternoon session was devoted for a seminar-workshop on EQ at Work facilitated by Fr. Vitaliano Dimaranan, SDB.
