H.S. Management Team Attends Communication Assertiveness Seminar-Workshop

            The High School Management Team which is composed of the H.S. Principal, Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs, Assistant Principal for Technical Affairs, Assistant Principal for Student Affairs, Subject Area Heads, Shop Heads, Curricular and Extra-Curricular Activity Coordinator and Human Resource Office Head completed  a 16 -hour seminar- workshop on “Communication Assertiveness”.

            The seminar-workshop was held last October 12, 16, 19 and 23, 2009 at the Multiple Intelligence Center   from 1:00 pm. to 5:00 pm.  It was facilitated by Ms. Lesley Leveriza of Guthrie – Jensen Consultants, Incorporated.

            The course aims to improve the participants’ level of communication on: asserting own authority when cascading mandates, policies, standards and initiatives to teachers; projecting confidence; giving feedbacks immediately and constructively; discussing issues during meetings; clarifying on the spot and dealing with difficult situations and people assertively.

            The management team studied intently the inputs and participated actively on the different  workshops. With the inspiring experiences gained by each participant, good working relationship among the teachers, family spirit and cooperation would be realized in the High School Department.
