First Aid Lecture Demonstration during the Foundation Day Celebration

         The Committee on Health, Safety, and Rescue in cooperation with the Philippine Red Cross organized a lecture-demonstration on First Aid and Basic Life Support.  The lecture-demo was held last January 29, 2010, 9:00am– 12:00nn at the Grade 1-Caravario classroom.  A number of students and lay mission partners participated.  Members of the school’s BSP (Boy Scouts of the Philippines) Club were also present during the activity. 

         The Committee invited Mr. Molly Bravo, a Red Cross volunteer, as resource person for the said event.  The topics discussed include first aid measures on sprain, nosebleed, wound, among others.  The participants were also taught cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).  The participants were also engaged in discussion as the activity concluded with an open forum.
