“Viva Las Vegas” - HS Dance ‘09

Bosconians and guests invaded the dance floor at Don Bosco Technical Institute- Makati’s HS Dance ’09. This event was held at the Savio Dome last November 27, 2009 from 6:00pm until 12:00mn. The High School Student Council and Auxiliary Staff spearheaded the event.
This year’s High School Dance was entitled “Viva Las Vegas” as it connoted the idea of a unique evening experience defined by bright and magnificent lights with various color schemes which welcomed the students and guests upon their entrance to the school gate going to the dance venue.

The dance event aimed to mimic the unbeatable entertainment of Las Vegas to High School students and their guests through lively music and dance. The music conveyed the “party feel” of the night and the lights sparkled as they danced to the music’s beat. The awesome decorations included a glowing Eifel Tower, an enormous guitar and neon lights. All these were truly amazing!
On the dance area was a paparazzi corner manned by the High School Photography Club. Here, pictures were taken to the delight of the guests and students.There was also a pabati booth where students and guests posted romantic greetings on a big screen. A lot of students enjoyed this booth.
Songs were played by the DJ. These were very modern and each of them was given the touch of remix. The songs included “Jai Ho” by the Pussycat Dolls, “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga, and “I Got a Feeling” by Black Eyed Peas.
In this kind of atmosphere, the organizers delivered an experience of lively entertainment, giving a thought of glittering and colorful Las Vegas that Bosconians truly appreciated and will always remember as part of their high school days
As a whole, with the help of the Principal’s Council, Salesians, Faculty and Staff, Bosconians, and guests, especially all the committees of the event, HS Dance ’09: “Viva Las Vegas” was truly a success!
