4th Don Bosco League:
DBTI wins Volleyball Championship; 1st runner up in Basketball

            The fourth season of the Don Bosco League Inter-Company Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Basketball Tournaments started last January 16, 2009 and concluded last March 20, 2009. There were 16 participating companies in basketball, namely, Don Bosco Makati, Roche, Directories Philippines Corporation, Thermal Solutions, Deltek Systems, Caritas Shield, Accenture and Mazda Makati for group A while in group B were Modair, Shinryo, Smart, Metrobank Card, AMWSLAI, Acramed, Toyota Sales and Toyota service while in volleyball participating teams are Don Bosco Makati, Accenture, AMWSLAI, AFP-RSBS, Department of Agrarian Reform.

           
            The MODAIR team dominated the Basketball elimination round in group B and quarter final round and with a twice to beat advantage during the championship game against the Don Bosco Makati team.  Last March 19, 2009, the MODAIR team captured the title and was hailed champions.  The 3rd placer was Shinryo team which won against the Accenture.

           The Don Bosco Makati Volleyball team won the championship as they swept the double round elimination games and became the number one team of the tournament.  This led to their third championship in this tournament, thus earning them a grand slam victory.  The 2nd placer was Accenture while the 3rd placer was Department of Agrarian Reform team, which won over the AFP-RSBS team.
