In line with the full implementation of the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 (R.A. No. 10533), the High School Department of Don Bosco Technical Institute, Makati prepared its Lay Mission Partners on the Policy and Guidelines on Classroom Assessment for the K to 12 Basic Education Program. The policy is in accordance with the Department of Education Order No. 8, Series of 2015.
The community of DBTI celebrated the 49th birthday of Rev. Fr. Alexander L. Garces, SDB, School Rector, last June 2, 2015 at the Joy Center.
The festivities began with a mass presided by the celebrator himself, Fr. Garces. It was considered a day of thanksgiving and praise both for him and the institution. During the homily, Fr. Garces emphasized to those present that it was the opportune time to move forward and to start anew, especially, that the school was preparing for the opening of the new school year, SY 2015-2016.
Guided by the commitment to strengthen the 21st Century skills of teachers, the High School Department of Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati conducted a seminar on action research last May 27, 2015 at the Library and Learning Resource Center (LLRC).
The seminar-workshop was spearheaded by the Miss Violeta Roxas, Principal of the High School Department. She invited Dr. Danilo Kalaw Villena of the Philippine Normal University to conduct the said workshop.
The Boscorale was adjudged Grand Champion in the High School Category of the Musica FEUropa 7 Choral Competition held last May 23, 2015.
Boscorale members, old and new, rehearsed every day since April 2015 to train and prepare for the said competition.
Musica FEUropa, a choral competition hosted annually by the European Union, requires the contenders to sing two songs, a Filipino song and a song where the composers are born from a country within the European Union.
