Bosconians Earn 100% Pass Rate on Automotive Servicing NC1

Last March 17, 2018, the Grade 10 Junior High School students of Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati under the Automotive Technology Area took the National Assessment in Automotive Servicing NC1 at First Gear Technical Institute. All the 24 students who took the assessment were able to achieve a successful 100% passing rate. The result of their assessment was the product of their two-year shop specialization under the Technical Curriculum of the Junior High School Department. Automotive Technology Batch 2016-2018 was the first ever batch of Junior High School students to take the National Assessment in Automotive Servicing NC1; thus, making them the pioneer in securing National Certification from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). Given the assessment result, it is deemed that Don Bosco Technical Institute – Makati’s Junior High School (JHS) Automotive Technology program is at par if not more advanced than the Tech-Voc Senior High School (SHS) program of other schools.

Passers of the Automotive Servicing NCI are certified to perform gas and diesel tune-up, servicing in automotive battery service ignition system, testing and repairing the automotive wiring/lighting system, performing under chassis preventive maintenance and automotive shop maintenance.
