Galdo and the Plan on his Palm
Main page

Success is the promise of entrepreneurship and passion for work is what will drive you towards it. Though bachelor's degree is the common gateway to start fulfilling dreams, a simple guy with a big heart never earned it but brought a great difference. Life is a masterpiece of consequences brought by the wave of fate and enigma of deeds. Aspiring to be the best made his legacy. Destiny must be a clear vision and actions towards it must be a sword in the midst of a rock. It is a fire in the heart and a mind full of hope and optimism. Hands must not be bare but must be equipped with teachings from experience, a soul and aspirations fuelled by eagerness and dedication.

Mr. Emmanuel O. Galdo is a graduate of a one-year Automotive Technology course of the Manpower Skills Training Center of Don Bosco Technical Institute in 1981. After graduation, he was chosen to be one of the few selected trainees to spend the on-the-job training with a new partner, Europhil Motors. A real Bosconian as he is, he took every opportunity to learn anything and almost everything about the company. And his kind of attitude fascinated the owner of the company and rewarded his effort. He was promoted fast and given advance training in new models of cars their company specialized on. All these successes in his job, he attributes to Don Bosco's reminder to every student of his: Do your ordinary duties extra ordinarily well. After a few years, he decided to become a free-lance service technician and he proved further his great passion for the job thus, earning him the loyalty of his customers. The mutual trust, with his customers that developed during this time, gave him the great confidence to put up MAHL Motors Plats on 5071 Malolos St. in Makati City in 1989. It is now the haven of his loyal customers of ten to fifteen years and much so for many other customers discovering and appreciating his Bosconian brand of service. Thanks to the Bosconian adage "Do your ordinary duties extra-ordinarily well." It continuously pours God's blessings on Manny and his family.

Thus, it does not end there. Light must be put in the pedestal to shine and to provide guide to all who seeks direction. Such great example must be also recognized especially to all the youth where he came from. Last August 23, Mr. Galdo was the recipient of Ramon Magsaysay Outstanding Filipino Worker Award, NCR for self-employed category. An award for a person who proved that life is not worthy of emptiness instead must be lived on the palm of His plan.
